Key & Security Module Programming

Supported BMW key-related programming and security-module work for CAS, FEM and BDC systems, including replacement-module matching and selected key preparation workflows.

BMW CAS3 key and security module

BMW key and immobilizer systems

BMW key authorization is tied to the vehicle’s security electronics. Depending on the chassis and production generation, that relationship is managed through CAS, FEM or BDC modules rather than by the key alone.

Typical situations we support

  • Replacement CAS, FEM or BDC module needs to be prepared or matched
  • Security data must be synchronized after module replacement
  • Selected spare-key or key-preparation workflows
  • Vehicle does not authorize engine start after security-module work
  • Module data needs to be recovered or transferred before replacement

CAS / FEM / BDC compatibility

The exact procedure depends on the BMW generation, security module and available vehicle data. Some jobs can be completed with the vehicle present; others require module-level bench work.

Important: key and immobilizer services are application-dependent. Send the vehicle year/model and security-module details before purchasing replacement parts or shipping modules.

What we need from you

Provide the BMW year/model, whether the vehicle currently starts, which keys are available, and whether any CAS/FEM/BDC or DME modules have already been replaced. Clear photos of module labels are helpful.
