Open or drill DMEs? No more!
Days when we needed to open or drill MEVD172X DMES and EDC17 DDEs for cloning or unlock are gone now :) With new technology Unlock, Cloning and matching of DMEs and DDEs to car is possible directly from connector pins. We are proud that we use most advanced technologies. There are many DMEs and DDEs covered with this technology, but most famous are MEVD172, MEVD1726, MEVD172G, MEVD1724, MEVD1725, MEVD1729, MEVD172Y and other MEVD series, along with DDEs like EDC17CP09, EDC17CP45 and so on, list is long.
Cloning MEVD1722
This DME came from Mini Cooper,

Original DME went bad so we are cloning it to replacement one.

MEVD1722 comes with Infineon Tricore SAK-1767-256 Processor that we love to work with :)
Another MS43 Cloned
This was Interesting case,
This MS43 came from Z3, and it was not responsive because contents of MS43 were deleted somehow.
We wrote working full flash and then matched to EWS, one more happy customer.
DME and DDE Cloning For Almost Any Model
There are few Reasons why DME or DDE may fail.
We've seen DMEs and DDEs damaged by

    Used DME / DDE programming to CAS / FEM / BDC
    When DME and DDE fails, If it is responsive, It can be cloned, But, If it is not responsive what you need is programming of replacement module to your car, To be more precise, to security module CAS, FEM or BDC in order to be able to start it.

    In order to start the car, Engine computer (DME or DDE) and Security module (CAS, FEM or BDC) need to exchange security key.

    If security key does not match, then Engine Computer (DME or DDE) will not open injectors, In result engine cranks, but does not fire up.

    Security Key In older modules is called ISN and is 4 bytes (8 digits),

    On newer modules Security Key is called SK, and is 16 bytes (32 digits, 128 bits)

    On F series, transmission model 8HP has enhanced security so its linked to original car, that it came with from factory.

    Before engaging any gear, it compares Security Key with CAS4 / FEM and if result is negative it will not get out of Parking.

    We offer resetting and matching of Security Key in cases where used transmission (Or mechatronics) is installed on the car.

    Remote customers will need to send CAS4 / FEM, Keyfob and Mechatronics to us.

    Mechatronics is mostly plastic, So its weight is up to 10 pounds.
    EGS 6HP Transmission EWS Reset for E70,E71 - X5, X6
    On E70 and E71 (X5 and X6) transmission model 6HP has enhanced security so it's linked to immobilizer system.

    Before engaging any gear, it compares Security Key with CAS3 and if result is negative it will not get out of Parking.

    We offer resetting and matching of Security Key in cases where used transmission (Or mechatronics) is installed on the car.

    MSD85 and MSD85.1 Engine computer Unit (ECU)

    Engine computer Units (ECU) Siemens MSD85 and MSD85.1 are used to control

    This Siemens MSD85 and MSD85.1 are used for N63 Engines in

    • BMW 550i F10/F11

    Problem with MSD85 and MSD85.1

    MSD85 and MSD85.1 are known for internal failure that causes disturbing BSD (Bit Serial Data) communication.

    BSD is a bit-serial data interface is a single-wire data bus with a data transfer rate of 1.2 kBd. It's 12V signal level, 830uS = 1200 baud.

    Codes for F series are:
    00278D - BSD, Alternator : Missing
    CD9304 - BSD Data bus communication fault
    210901 - BSD, Message; Alternator; Missing
    213901 - Power management: reduction or deactivation of individual electrical loads/consumers


    After Failure, only way to fix it was to replace DME, that's what dealer offers, and cost is around $2200

    SOLUTION
    We offer repairing internal failure of MSD85 and MSD85.1

    HOW it is done
    • You will need to send us DME
    • We fix the DME whether its MSD85 or MSD85.1 and send back.
    • Turnaround time is either same day or next business day.

    FRM3, Footwell Module Repair
    FRM3 module (Footwell Module) is used on:

    BMW E81, E82, E84, E87, E89, E90, E91, E92, E93, E70, E71, E72 series and Mini R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61 series

    FRM3 has three connectors,
    Two 51-pin connectors connect the main wiring harness.
    Another 26-pin connector is for the connection to the dashboard.

    Footwell Module is responsible for:
    • Headlight
    • Tail lights
    • Fog lights
    • Front courtesy lighting
    • Rear courtesy lighting
    • Number-plate light
    • Power windows
    • Exterior mirrors
    • 2 stepper motor controllers aka adaptive headlight stepper motors
    • 2 belt feeder controllers

    It can fail when jumpstarting, when coding/programming, or even when reading codes with dealer equipment.

    Symptoms of failed Footwell Module are:
    • No reaction on light switches
    • No windows are moving
    • Few lights like parking lights will be constantly on
    • Cornering lights do not work

    We fix them, fixed footwell modules by us are "Plug&Play"
    i.e. no additional coding or programming is needed.
    FRM3 is located on the left side of pedals, behind plastic cover. It has 3 connectors.

    One connector is from door side, and two connectors are on the back, from firewall side.

    Keep in mind that BMW has a SIB012016 covering FRM3 failures,
    Initially it was 8 Years/125K miles

    In 08.2018 they updated it to 10 Years/156K Miles

    Cluster Virginizing
    Before Installing used Cluster, whether its from M series or not, First it needs to be "Virginized".

    Clusters save information about mileage and VIN number of the car in the chip, which can not be modified by coding or programming.

    In order to make it usable, this information needs to be deleted from this chip, and after installing in the car, with simple coding, Cluster copies this information from other modules and its ready to work.

    When Cluster is installed without "Virginizing", First of all, mileage is not correct on odometer, and then there is tampering dot next to odometer.
    CAS3 Cloning
    CAS3 module is used on E9X, E6X and E7X series.
    It is responsible for security, keys, and starting engine.

    It can randomly fail, the main failure happens on hardware level.

    Symptoms of failed CAS3 is, it is not sending signal to starter anymore.

    We can clone them to working used CAS3 module, it will be plug and play.

    CAS3 module is located on top of the pedals, behind plastic cover. It has 2 connectors.
